What is GRF you ask? GRF (ground reaction force) is the force the ground pushes back with every time your body makes contact, whether you’re walking, running, or jumping. These forces move in three directions: side to side (mediolateral), up and down (vertical), and forward and backward (anteroposterior). By measuring GRF, you can better understand who someone moves, and even assess their balance, movement efficiency, and potential risk of injury. XO-SOLE PRO captures all these forces for you in a small, portable, self-contained system. It’s basically like having a lab in your shoe.

Engineered with XO-NANO’s patented Smartfoam, the XO-SOLE PRO brings precision to every movement. Each insole is built from a continous layer of Smartfoam that captures force across eighyt distinct measurement zones, allowing it to detect exactly how and where pressure is applied.
When the foam compresses, it generates a tiny electrical charge that’s collected by integrated electrodes and processed by the onboard microcontroller. This signal is then paired with real-time data from a 9-axis IMU—measuring acceleration, rotation, and direction—to produce a complete 3D Ground Reaction Force profile of your movement.
Every detail is designed for performance: BLE connectivity for wireless data transfer, 12-hour battery life, and a total weight under 100 grams. Available in men’s sizes 4–14, the XO-SOLE PRO gives athletes, clinicians, and researchers access to true, lab-grade biomechanics anywhere they move.
