We are pleased you have chosen the best and latest in sensing technology to enable new functionality to your products and enhance your user experience. We would like you and your customers to get the most out of the XO-NANO Smartfoam® brand by providing a consistent appearance to our marks. We have invested in the XO-NANO Smartfoam brand heavily and have wide brand recognition throughout many industries. We are excited to provide XO-NANO Smartfoam Technology co-branding opportunities to partners who utilize our products for enhanced foam sensing applications. This guide will cover both electronic and physical goods branding.

Usage Review and Approval Process

All copy, advertising, promotional, electronic, sales, and other marketing materials using the XO-NANO Smartfoam® trademark, name, or promotional materials must be approved by the XO-NANO marketing team before any use. Prior to using any of the stated items requires a written request to be submitted to the XO-NANO marketing team 10 business days in advance of using.

Logo and Patent Making Requirements

XO-NANO Smartfoam enhances and enables many different products through its unique sensing properties. As XO-NANO Smartfoam is vital to your product’s functionality, we require prominent and visible marking on all products that use it. Nano Composite Products, Inc. requires equally permanent brand marking as that of the primary brand with XO-NANO branding no less than 40% in size of the primary brand. Furthermore, website branding must also be apparent on the homepage of any product using XO-NANO Smartfoam products, stating that the product is “enabled by XO-NANO Smartfoam Technology”. A link to additional information including the virtual patent information link must also be present.

Virtual Patent Marking

Nano Composite Products, Inc. owners of XO-NANO Smartfoam® require that all products that contain XO-NANO Smartfoam® materials be marked using virtual patent marking. This allows all users of the products to know that the materials used in the product is protected by XO-NANO’s patent portfolio.

All products, packaging or labels need to be clearly marked using the following format:

Sewn-In Tags

A series of standard labels are available for use by XO-NANO brand partners who have received design and product approval for their use of XO-NANO® Materials. Orders for sewn-in apparel tags and hang tags must be placed with the XO-NANO team.

Logo and Trademark Usage

• • • • The “XO-NANO” and the word “Smartfoam” must always be capitalized and “Smartfoam” must always be one word.
      • In text or ad copy where the “XO-NANO Smartfoam” name will be used more than once, the registered superscript “®” must be used in the first appearance of the word “XO-NANO Smartfoam” in the text. Subsequent references to “XO-NANO Smartfoam” in the same copy text or document need not have XO-NANO proceed Smartfoam or carry the registration mark.

Logo Usage Guidelines

• • • • The XO-NANO Smartfoam logo and related product logos must appear in its original logomark form, as shown above.
      • The area surrounding the logo mark should remain free of type or other imagery so that nothing competes with the logomakr for the viewers’ attention.
      • The XO-NANO Smartfoam logomark must not be redrawn, re-proportioned, altered, or modified in any way. It must not be printed on any angle other than horizontal.

Logo Color Options

• • • • The XO-NANO Smartfoam logomark should be printed in 1 color, using either black (#000000) or white (#ffffff).

Logo Permitted Use

• • • • Preferred XO-NANO Smartfoam logo – To be used on products, in sales and marketing literature and content, websites, and other promotional materials.

• • • • • Secondary XO-NANO Smartfoam logo – To be used only when preferred XO-NANO Smartfoam logo cannot be printed clearly. For example, in small letter sewn stitching.

• • • • • • XO-NANO “O’s” logo – To be used as an icon and only in promotional materials that also accompanies the use of the preferred XO-NANO Smartfoam logo.

Color Palette

Usage of Registered Trade Name in Copy

The following rules rules are to be followed when including the XO-NANO Smartfoam trade name in sales/marketing literature, promotional materials or any other copy:

• • • • • • The “XO” in XO-NANO and the “S” in Smartfoam must always be capitalized and “Smartfoam” must always be one word.
